If a tree falls on a street does a roadmaster make any noise?

Who knew that it would be Buick to bring back the woody wagon.

It most certainly can be saved. Looks like a good choice for a custom project. Perhaps a chopped top or it would make a nice ElCamino build like I did with my 56 Wagon.

Doesn't look all that bad. Probably can be repaired..... Still sucks though.

I had a big pine tree fall on my property during Hurricane Isaac in 2012. I park my Custom Cruiser on the side of my barn, but for the hurricane, since the land is higher in front of the barn next to the carport, I parked it there. Water would have gotten into the car if I had left it where it was. The tree fell parallel to the car, the top landed 6 feet from crushing the car. It could have gone all kinds of bad ways. I was really sad to see the tree go, because it was one of my favorites, but at least it spared the wagon!

I agree that Buick has lots of possiblilities. I'm sure storms, floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes have taken their toll on many cars. Most are just scrapped when customs could be built. At least they would still be on the road in some form.

May not be able to tell if its repairable until the tree is removed. Years ago, I came home from work to find my next door neighbor's 100' tall pine tree had fallen across the driveway and only the tail lights of my 67 Dodge Coronet convertible were visible peering out from under the tree. I thought the car was toast, but it turned out that the only damage was a 3" long tear in the convertible top and some scratches in the paint.

On the other hand, I remember seeing a picture a co-worker showed me after a huge oak tree fell lengthwise across his Chevy Celebrity wagon. It pretty much broke the car in half from front to back. There was nothing left of that one.

As for the Roadmaster, it appears that it could be repairable, but its likely that the cost would exceed the value.

Several years ago after possibly Katrina or one of the tornado or hurricanes that were happening about six years ago there was a picture of a vintage Airstream beside a barn. Next picture, after the bad weather, a picture with the barn gone, the trailer IIRC 180 degrees from original, and a piano embedded on the roof.

It looks like it can be salvaged, Surely the car still runs?

I'm sure(?) it runs still, but until you get the forest off the car and examine it....................? Poor old thing is now full of broken glass, branches, leaves and who knows what the weather (rain) did to the interior between the tree fall storm and it's removal. Just about everything can be fixed, but is it cost effective?

When a tree falls on a Buick does the owner make a sound?

Ah, but parts is parts! It'd be a great parts donor if someone wanted to do an EFI restomod. A 'G' body wagon setup would be the way to go.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
