Well, at least for that generation of Chevy Malibu's. No sense having 2 names of 'performance-oriented' vehicles, so the SS was dropped and they went with 'Laguna' ("Laguna S-3' for the sporty 2-doors). The 'Laguna' nameplate never really caught on.......

We've seen this rare wagon before - looks like seller may be more realistic now. Bid to $6600 with reserve met with 6 days to go.

I think the buyer got a great deal.......and the seller got a reasonable amount for it. Not a 'killing', but reasonable.

    Hi,
No need to worry. The buyer on EBAY did not meet the terms of the sale.

Car is still for sale and I'll probably list it on EBAY as a BIN.

This car is decent. Could be a nice daily driver/ cruise nite ride, or quite easy job as a full restoration.

The EBAY auction had 4000 page views and 298 watchers. At this point I'm not going to let it go for less than 8500 as it had more interest that a Boss 302 I sold a while back.

I believe this car will increase in value. Not many people know an SS454 wagon exists, and with enough Chevy/GM guys in the world a buyer is out there.

I agree with you, Composet1. If I didn't have my Way Back Machine, I might be interested myself.

    A favor, please:
We could use pics of your rare SS wagon in our gallery as a reference. Can you post them up for us?

Thanks. I'm on the fence with this car.

At this point, the SS454's not far from a good paint job, and with a little more mechanical freshening the car could present well at one of the big auctions where a high flyer might take a liking to it.

Like most other enthusiasts I've got more projects/cars than makes sense so that is why is why I'm offering it for sale.
