I would love to have one of these Mark IV's, problem is they are so long they don't fit in my garage.

That's what the big chrome bumper is for. Push the back of the garage forward. This is a beautiful car and not bad mileage.
This is when Lincolns looked like luxury cars.

OMG! I love the Lincolns of the 70s and 80s. Made some absolutely beautiful hearses and wagons... oh wait... only hearses. Well they SHOULD have made wagons too dangit! Look at that thing! It would make an amazing wagon!

    Well, somebody made ONE............

More like a '78 rather than a '72, but I think it's cool. And if you have around 18 large, you can own it (I think it's still for sale......)

From our gallery. Owner is a member of the SWF.

It's very beautifully done - one of the nicest conversions I've ever seen. Beats any of those Cadillac Eldorado wagon conversions hands-down. It even appears to have a fully functioning 3-way tailgate. Has a moonroof, too. The 'wagon parts' are from a mid 70's Ford mid-sized wagon (Ford LTDII / Mercury Montego/Cougar, like this:

    oh those Lincolns

The 72 Mark IV, was the last Lincoln available with a Boss 429... That came with an automatic, as Lincolns stopped coming with standards in the early 50's. Had a chance to buy one of those, about twenty years ago, for $750... The wife thought it looked "Mexican" and didn't like the idea of ten mpg.

From this TV clip from 1972, Cannon temporarily abandons his Lincoln Mark IV coupe for an escape by driving a Ford Custom 500 sedan while pursued by bad guys in a Mercury Monterey and a Dodge Monaco through the Los Angeles storm runoff system! Enjoy!!! :)

Well, we just can't have Frank Cannon driving that nice Continental through LA's flood control channels, now can we?

That car was heavy enough without his lard tuba weighing it down even more. That's why he had to get into that Custom 500 to catch those thugs
