    BEAUTIFUL!

Not fussy about the wheels but it's a beauty.

    Looks nice!

Remembering my family's '66 Caprice, which was yellow, the 'wood' on this one looks very close to 'original'.

In '66, Chevy didn't have any kind of optional wheels for the Caprice, and the factory wheel covers were nothing to rave about.

On this one I'd be inclined to mount a nice set of rally wheels / trim rings with narrow-band whitewalls, like on this hardtop.

We have discussed this before, there's big then there's too big...and you're probably getting old, just like the rest of us. :)

I admit to getting older, I'm addicted to it, I do it every day.
If that were my Caprice, It would have 15 inch ralley wheels, disc brake caps and blackwall tires..........just like my 66 Chevelle.

I agree ralleys would look good on this one, or some smoothies.

I'm more into the authentic resto look. For me it would have to be whitewalls (blackwalls on a woodgrained wagon just don't look right to me) and the stock wheel covers.

I've seen a couple of '66 CEs with what I thought were pretty high price tags before, but never in this range. Is this appropriate, or is it just because of the trendy pimp wheel/rubber band tire combo?

This is a high-option, low mile wagon that is in pretty good shape, so the market value is going to be fairly high to start with. Adding in a national E-Bay ad pops it up some more. A lot of dealers seem to believe putting on a $1,200 (their cost, approx.) set of Coys and new tires bumps up the 'perceived value' by $2,000 or so.......

If this wagon was for sale by a private party, and had the stock wheels, covers and tires, it might go for around $13k or so, IMO........

Golly there are a lot of old guys on here!:) I'm not really sure if it's age or common sense. But I agree. Those wheels and tires just don't look right. It's a beautiful wagon and needs 15" Ralley wheels and narrow whites.

If I bought that car (and I won't) Those wheels and tires would be for sale at the next swap meet.
Last weekend Mike (son-in-law) and I were at the Goodguys Scottsdale show and bought a set of 67 Chevy dog dish hub caps for $35.00. Yesterday I sandblasted some 15 x 7 steel wheels, and we'll paint them white, mount some blackwalls, and that's our rolling stock for their 67 Malibu wagon. Still need to buy two tires, but I'll post a picture when we're done. I think it'll be cool, and didn't cost much.

Nice looking wagon...I'm not quite as old as some of these crotchety old men and don't mind the wheels!
