350 V8 with power windows, locks, gate as well as a/c and tilt. No 3rd seat. Looking pretty sharp for just $4500. It's the "usual" color for 1973 CEs! http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/4370029762.html
This wagon looks familiar... oh yeah, I know why... it is because 95% of them were this color! LOL! It is a nice car... a shame it lacks the 3rd seat option (at least for me). The ad text is interesting. I like the part, "get over it". I wonder why it was titled as a '72? Does it vary by state? My 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville was made in August of 1972 and it is titled as a 1973 and my 1972 Kingswood Estate was made in December of 1971 and it is titled as a 1972. As far as the "custom" wagon in this pic... personally, I like this stock '73 just as it is.
It's been painted, 72 ???????? Never seen one titled a year off of the body style. Something stinks on this deal
I have seen more than you would imagine being a year off. Trucks, cars and vans. hard to say without having it in front of you to investigate. Altho that could explain the repaint
I'm pretty sure this is the same car that was for sale in Klamath Falls, OR last year. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=262564#post262564
Oddly I saw on Plex movie channel the other day part of the movie Sugarland Express, with everyones favorite guy to hate William Atherton, there was a chase scene and all these police cars pulled into a gas station and boom theres a brown 72 Impala wagon comes roaring in, though it was yours
Still out there! http://redding.craigslist.org/cto/4371689667.html At $4500 it beats the same Caprice Estate wagon in Los Angeles at $7000 at even the same color! Very nearly the same wagon - it wins at $2500 less!
Wasn't that the wagon (the one you just mentioned) that originally started out at $4k, then he seen the high interest and jacked the price up to like $8k?
Yes, that was true for the '73 Caprice Estate wagon in Los Angeles when it was originally posted (QUITE SOME TIME AGO)!
