A good starter project. We bought our RV near Milton.

There's a car guy living 50 miles south of us that built a beautiful Metro with a 454 Chevy in it.:yahoo:
When I was in high school I felt sorry for a nearly new Metropolitan. Two rather large sisters took turns driving one to school.

This reminds me of the 1950 Studebaker we recently sold that sat on the flat roof of a niteclub or diner. Used to be several old cars sticking out of or on buildings around central Florida.
Remember the bug man that had 1000's of cars everywhere painted wild advertising an exterminator company? Truey Nolan I think!

I still see Truly Nolen cars driving around SW Florida - they're usually yellow and have mouse ears and tail:

Saw a few of 'em last January!

Yes that's the company. Years ago they bought old cars and painted them wild, adding their logo and phone number. I remember seeing cars and their adds in magazines. We moved to Florida in 1994 and I remember seeing 57 Chevys and other older cars around the Orlando area. I believe they were out west also.
As for yard art cars, a friend had a Model A, old gas pumps, and signs in their yard in the next small town.
Another I remember well was just the cowl, fenders, and grill of a Model A in the nice yard of a home on Illinois rt 173 near Chain Of Lakes state park near the Wisconsin border. I always wanted to do that but here in the boonies very few would see it.

I don't seem them around here in Oregon, but they're in Southern California. It's probably a franchise deal.....
