It's like online dating..... you look at the pics and don't read the fine print unless your seriously interested..... and then like online dating, you just never know what your gona get. So this wagon has had plastic surgery, has it?
Yep just like on-line dating you never know what you're gonna end up with. How do you know this Tedy??? I always wonder why people have engines, transmissions, and rear ends rebuilt then sell the vehicles. Seems like they'd want to keep it then.
Yeah, I remember this one being advertised a while back. And there was a discussion here about the front end swap. EDIT. Here's a link to the previous discussion. Looks like it was on the market last July, and they were asking $6800 then. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26240&highlight=torino
$4,000 on a rebuilt tranny ???? Riiiiiiiight.. Not bad looking, but one would wonder why they switched the entire nose. (and ps. it's not an easy swap due to completely different bumper mounts and the frame front horns. You can't just take a 74 Torino and bolt on the better looking 72 nose.. and vice versa of course)
The 72 Gran Torino front end is one of the nicest there is to me. I did swap a 1977 Ford truck nose for the newer 1978 front end.
