So where / how do I find out how to remove the chrome trim on the outside of my 64 Olds Fiesta without fragging it? Body man says just look at it and figure out what style it is and pop it off......RIIIIIII ght.

Your moldings are held on by a variety of methods, and each piece might have more than one type of attachment. The best method is to look at the inside of each panel and see how the molding clip is attached to the panel. If it is a plastic clip with a push pin center, it will appear from the backside as a mushroomed plastic pop rivet. If it has a nut on the clip, then you need to remove each nut to take it off. Just be careful, since replacements are not available. Some people sell generic molding clips, but they usually never work well.
I would head straight over to wildaboutcars.com, join up (it's free), and head over to the Oldsmobile service manual section. You'll find the entire 1964 Olds Factory Service Manual there. It comes in five parts plus supplements for the Fiesta, and there are sections specifically devoted to body moldings and how they're attached. It'll probably take you some time to study all the diagrams, but it will likely be worth it if you don't want to damage the moldings. Some moldings, in fact, might very well be held on by more than one type of fastener. It pays to know what you're dealing with.
Dan C.. What moldings ? Can you take a pic and post them ? Some of those old ones have a nut in the back , some push onto barrel nuts .
