Here's something unusual - a car with a great-looking body, but a totally trashed interior?

Selling on the "barn finds" section of eBay motors. Maybe it was parked in a barn and the mice and other varmints got into the interior?

Seller says the previous owner was driving it every day? On those seats? And maybe he was using the brick sitting on the transmission tunnel to kill the varmints as they came out of the seat while he was driving?

Or maybe the current owner bought it, parked it, and the varmints got at the interior? A mystery.

But Tedy, the seller says it "runs good". He wouldn't be fibbing, would he? Maybe runs good when pushed down the hill? :p

But I still think this car has a good-looking body. Unless there's hidden rust issues on the frame and floor pans, picture notwithstanding. And, at least, the tires are inflated and keeping it off the ground. Always a good thing.

It has a repaint,, note under the hood is bronze, it should be the same color as the outside. and the dash has been repainted too.. appears all the windows were down for several years to get that orange rust.
Floors are most likely rusted bad..????:disagree:

Hmmm ... not even a full day on eBay, bidding up to ~$3k and listing is ended early. Someone jumped on this one. Hope it turned out good for them.

The interior really is a mystery. Looks like it was left outside with the windows down for years or parked in a rain forest. Yet the outside seems fine. I'd bet there is a lot of rust under the body and on the frame.
That steering wheel appears to have several million miles of wear. Yet the pedals don't show much. Probably much humidity caused the wheel and dash damage.:49:

From everyone's comments, my guess is someone found this barn find (or field find) car that had the interior ruined by weather. He then repainted it and cleaned up the exterior.

After that the guy gave up on completing the interior (and possibly fixing the rust issues on the floor pan) and parked it outside for a while, resulting in the mold on the paint and collection of pine needles on the rear bumper. Or the current seller bought it and parked it.

The seller has a couple of other barn-find cars on eBay. Maybe he's in the car flipping business.

I'd like to know if this car was actually in running condition though. Could have been a good find for someone. Or a money pit.

Depends how it looks under this wagon. For a few thousand dollars it could be a nice project. At least it's different.
I just can't get thrilled about a a Rambler. Grandparents and other relatives had Nash products. Seemed dependable and nice to ride in. That enterior would be a big problem.
