Does anyone know if it is possible to add shoulder seatbelts to a 1984 olds custom cruiser? I read some cars have the mounts already in place for adding these. Any info on doing this would be welcome.

Your 84 DOES have the mounts installed. Rear shoulder straps were a dealer installed option, with the mounting plates built into the car. I believe all North American cars had the mounts built in starting in about 68. I know that they were available as a dealer installed option on my 69 Acadian, which is a Canadian market Pontiac twin to the Chevy Nova.

Thanks for the info Mike. So these plates must be under the plastic trim of course.....Has anyone ever done this modification? Is it a matter of ordering the kit and an easy install or is it complex?
