This seller really is a tool !
I mean his scam is, that he says no reserve, then has friends bid on it
to what he really wants, then hopes Someone out-bids his friends high
bid. This has been the case in MANY of his " No reserve " auctions. THEN,
the car magically appears up for sale again on ebay many times! If my
math is correct, this car has sold out-right over 5 times with no reserve
and yet here it is again! I just wonder if the seller thinks we're all so
    stupid.....???????

When you or your Buddy don't buy the car, you give yourself great feedback, the car sells to your buddy 5 times, E-bay gets there percentage of the "sale price", so that is all they are worried about. You give yourself 5 perfect feedback ratings. So if a buyer does not post feedback (like at least 50% of the people that buy parts from me) it does not effect feedback ratings.
But I agree you would think there would be some bad feedback, but if the buyer was unaware of the sellers habits, and remember if you don't win you cant leave feedback. Or the buyer thinks they got the car in as advertised condition they are happy and leave good feedback.

    In other words its complicated!!!!!

    hmmm

Don't remember seeing this one before... How much is it they want for it?.. And, what's wrong with it? None of you are willing to pay what they want for it? (just being a smart ass)

    Hi all,
I was actually the high bidder on this one today..... and then I googled it I found this thread... which leads me to the question - is there anything wrong with this wagon that I am not aware of?

I sorta did it bass-ackwards I guess - I bid, and then I searched, only because I couldn't believe it was 'no reserve', when on their website they were asking $16,900. I'm a tad skeptical now because I got it so 'cheap'.

I don't know of anything wrong with the wagon. It actually looks very nice. The issue is that this Buick has purportedly "sold" many, many times through this dealer and always ends up back on eBay for sale again. Please do let us know if the sale actually goes through this time. :yup:

Congratulations on your purchase, Neal. I think you got a great wagon at a good price. Don't be put off by the dealer's original asking price. They can ask anything they want, and a lot of them start off way high. Your Buick Century is probably one of the nicest '73-'77 GM intermediate wagons we have seen here. A lot of these have long since gone by the wayside because of neglect, or just pain wearing out. I think you did well by spending a bit more up front on a good wagon rather than buying one that needed a lot of work. You can enjoy it right off the truck.
    Welcome to the SWF....
