I never thought I would live long enough to think those are cool. I have.

I have been noticing that phenomenon myself in regard to many things. Old? Who me? :D

I always thought they were cool. I bought the wife a brand new one back in '77. I thought Polaroid cameras were neat too, but the pics kinda fade over time.

It's funny how you learn to appreciate a classic just for being a classic.:)

I like all the T Birds, even the square Birds from 1958 to 1960 everyone seems to pass on. That blue '77('78?) in the first post is beautiful!

The blue one didn't last long! The ad is already gone. Sure is a beauty. Wonder which interior package it had. Probably well equipped since it has the cornering lamps and they are not all that common on the lower trim levels.

It had a console and looked to be factory floor shift, did they come with that?
My 2nd car as teenager was a 1978 Thunderbird, black with red interior. It had the 351m and fmx, I tore up the engine rather quickly and got a 1974 Galaxy with a 400 wrecked for $150 that I drove home, pulled motor and my dad and I put in it. Kept it about 3 years before trading for a truck.

If he sold it he got a nice price for it as it was listed for $10,000.

    hey, hey, hey

Had an 85 neo-classic jelly bean T-Bird for a while. Not a bad car really. Had the V6. Was blue, like the earlier one above. One of those cars bought for less than a thousand dollars(part of a different post). Was another of those "tired and worn out" cars when I got it. Liked it a lot anyway. Sometimes think, if I ever found a magic genie in a bottle, one of my wishes would be to get all the cars I've ever owned, back. In better than brand new, right off the show room floor condition. Keep the ones I liked, sell off the ones that were just cars. The T-Bird would definitely be a Keeper.
