    what the hey

The earliest memories of a family car, I have, are of the 1960 Country Squire my Dad bought from a moonrunner in Marrietta Georgia. I'm thinking this wagon started out as a Country Sedan. Looks like around 64 Colony Park woodie trim, with some crap in it, for paneling. I'd hold out for one, like the one my family had when I was a kid.

Except that it is an old wagon, it has zero appeal for me.

I think my living room floor has the same exact wood pattern!

Nothing like the appeal of an original! Like the 60 Squires but not too keen on this custom treatment. and :naughty:

I'm on the fence with this one...kinda like the exterior, except the wood, I really do like the interior although the instrument cluster is???, but maybe if you got rid of the horrible steering wheel.........

Not my particular cup of tea, but as we say in the business, there's an a## for every seat.

Well, it looks like they pulled a rake through the custom parts catalog didn't they? Just proves that you can't buy taste.

It's a good start tho. I would lose the billet crap and start putting on some more tasteful bits. Maybe return the pendulum back to the middle rather than a full on restoration.
The wood, while not stock looking, is not bad. Except for the fact that it looks like wood flooring in the middle. :90:

... oh, I finally figured out what that panel is on the back of the rear seat! Anyone else get it?

    Couple of clues:[IMG]
It's not stock... and there are bucket seats installed.:)

Well, I would assume it is to extend between the buckets when the rear seat is folded down, but I still can't understand how it would work or what benefit it would serve. The trailing edge of it looks like it has a hinge built in, but the arm would be how it folds forward, so I guess an additional panel folds forward when it is in use. The arced cutout would be so as to not interfere with the shifter, or perhaps the front of the console armrest? Odd, but there have been many odd choices made on this wagon...but at least it is nicely finished out..."finished" being the operative word!

Well, I think it's a cargo restraint that folds up when the rear seat is folded down to keep stuff from the back from sliding forward between the seats. Looks well made and probably was transplanted from some other vehicle.

I like the interior upgrades, including the steering wheel, but I'm not as big a purist as the rest of you characters. I have been told more than once that I "butchered" a classic.

Ahh, a cargo restraint! I guess that makes sense. (Not really, but I can appreciate the hard work that went into making it.) ;)

And Dewey "The Butcher" Satellite, thanks for your input. :rofl2:
