After nearly a year without a wagon, took a test drive of a 2004 Citroen C5 Estate HDI with the view to tradeing the minivan for it. Much to my suprise the wife has OKed the purchase! Just need to get a payout on the, leased, van and see what sort of deal we can workout with the dealer and my bank, Oh and get the Citroen dealer to check the car.
I will say though, for a 6 year old car with 174,000km it is VERY clean with almost no marks. Did find a tiny scrape on one rear wheel arch.

Will find out what the dealer can do next week, so will probably be a couple of weeks before we can do the deal.
IF I do get it the first thing I'll do is get window tint.

Yeah, the car was a good one but the deal wasn't.
Put getting a new car on the back burner for the moment.

    Except I didn't:taz:
2008 Toyota Rav4 CV 4 cyl Manual AWD with 37,000km on the clock. Just had to get out of the van before it broke, and copped a HUGE shortfall in the loan.

And it doesn't mean that you can't continue to "live" here - you are just in progress for the moment.

I've got several friends who have Rav's and they, well, Rav about them as being good little vehicles.

It's closer to a wagon then a minivan that's for sure!
Should be a good grocery getter/daily hack.

Hey - we actually have those over here in the states........
Boy, look at how those have grown in size over the years - almost as big as a 4Runner now..........IIRC, you can even get them with a third seat, although I certainly wouldn't try to squeeze back there.......

    Welcome back!

And I'm back for my triannual posting!:jumping:
Ditched the Rav4 and bought................................................................. a Citroen!

2012 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 HDi EGS 7 seat. Basically it's a mini-minivan type thing built on a compact, think Focus sized, platform. in other words, it's a wagon with a funny nose, well it IS a Citroen! Got it brand new because our "puppy" fell out of the Rav and is too heavy for the wife to lift him in @160lbs. And I didn't really "feel" it. We wanted another wagon but the only ones that could actually fit the dog were well out of our budget, the Commodore wagon is too small.

Good thing the 'puppy' has stopped growing or he would not fit at all! Great that you have finally got a wagon-like vehicle, though. Looks like it should do you for quite a long time to come. Or until you get a second 'puppy' like the first! Then you need a TRUCK! Or a Clamshell, one or the other! Have fun.

Lol, I missed this before. He went for his annual checkup/worming a couple of months ago and weighs 200lbs! The vet reckons he's not over weight either, although could probably loose a few lbs to look after his joints, he has an issue with his hindlegs.
The wife is currently thinking about buying a small wagon to replace her little Colt, it's getting abit small now.
