This one looks nice, unfortunately I am on the wrong coast! http://arizona.locateanyauto.com/automobiles/1967-oldsmobile-vista-cruiser-wagon-all-original.html
Here it is in Stockton CL: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/4090072312.html with more pictures. It looks to be a nice one. Dan
Wow! This car looks great as it sits! Maybe a new set of whitewalls? Seller says it needs a repaint but from these pics, I think it would be a shame to destroy the originality at this point?
told me a story about original paint being faded , no cracks in dash pad etc . I get there and dash has few minor cracks , paint clear was coming off , chrome was poorly replated , motor pinged etc . Then was rude telling me 5200 take it or leave it . It's a okay car but not what he said it was . I offered him 4000 said he'd never sale for less than 5 which I wouldn't pay . Found out guy bought just to flip which is fine but don't lie about what car is .
Motomike, I couldn't agree with you more on both points. I'll be the first to admit I'm more than a bit obsessed with the factory original wheel covers and whitewalls, but back then, nobody would go for the price of a Vista Cruiser and then cheap out with black walls. It just doesn't look right. If it had the whitewalls, it would be so much more correct. I agree about the paint as well; the pictures sure seemed to indicate it was fine, but after reading NOrcal's assessment, I guess they were more flattering than reality.
