Howdy all and thank you for allowing me to join and show off my baby, a baby blue 1972 Dodge Coronet wagon with org. 318 engine and only 60,000 miles on her
Welcome Pwolfdaddy! Love the Coronet, just awesome and beautiful! Great to have another Mopar on board.
Nice rides you guys got there, I had a 77 Olds Custom Cruiser and a 87 Pontiac Safari wagon amongst some other cars I had before my accident and alas had to sell off my cars a few years back but am back on track somewhat again and this is my first car since I'm back. And nice Plymouth wagon you got there. Wish you had some more pictures of it. I got to get my scanner up and running one day to upload some photos of my old cars, if that's allowed that is since I had to sell them. plus got some photos of old wagons my family owned back in the 60's and 70's both were VW wagons.
Great lookin wagon. You will fit right in. A dog lover. A wagon lover. And from Illinois! Two out of three ain't bad!
Nice job posting the dog pic with the wagon - you've just placed yourself in the upper tier of wagon owners! Welcome aboard and very cool wagon you've got there - what's the plans for it?
I was thinking the same thing... Your car looks like it's in really grat shape. So you haven't had it long?
Thanks and that is my late dog Wolf in the photo. I got 2 more dogs and only had the car since last year about 15 months now and my plans are uncertain so far as to wha to do as she runs rather well as she is but a bigger motor always looks good down the road. All depends on my funds and health.
Welcome to the nuthouse we call home! Great story you have there, and a wonderful wagon. Personally, were she mine, I would keep her as is, since she is looking great and running well. If you don't want to spend big bucks on an engine change, I would think about doing incremental changes as it is time for repair. The upcharge, for instance, to go to a dual exhaust, properly done, compared to a single, is not all that great. Go with a good 2 1/4 inch dual with good flowing mufflers and an X cross over, and you will gain about 20 horsepower as well as gaining about 4 or 5 miles to the gallon so it will eventually pay for itself and then some. You can gain more by swapping out the 2 barrel intake and carburetor and going with an Edelbrock Performer intake and 4 bbl carb. Again, both performance and fuel economy gains are to be found. Best of all, both are bolt on mods, so it is easy to return it to original if you ever want to.
Great start on a Super Stock Dodge --- wagon. Sorry about your loss of Wolf. Always hard when that happens..... Welcome to the SWF..... Marshall
