    Hi all,

A couple weeks ago. I found a 68 Colony Park on E-bay. It came with a parts car. I said to heck with it and placed a bid. Well, I thought I was going to be outbid because the price seemed pretty good. But, it turned out I was the only bidder. My wife wasn't too happy about the idea. Mostly because I informed her after the auction was over. Eiher way, we went to pick up the Mercs and found the parts car is in pretty good shape. It drove onto the trailer and it's really complete. Not very much rust at all. So, I think the whole deal was a buy one get one free. Or, not less than a buy one for the price of two and get one free.

    thanks,
    Mark

Very cool! I like them both. Didn't I see those on a re-run of the old Hawaii 5-0 TV show?

Welcome FirstEliminator. I remembered seeing the ad for these cars. I went back into the completed auctions to look again. Nicely done! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

    hey, hey, hey

:Welcome: My first car, in 1980, was a 68 Colony Park, Iceberg Blue with blue interior. Mighty 390 4V. Along with my 86 Colony Park, the best car I've ever owned. :1st:

I remember the "parts car" wagon being for sale on ebay by its previous owner. I believe it was owned by the original owner (wife) in Virginia until after her passing. The family sold it a few years later to the gentleman who later placed it on ebay due to lack of room (he had another '68 CP). I believe the tailgate being rusted out was the major issue due to sitting under a carport for years. It had original paperwork from when it was first bought. Hopefully the last seller included these and didn't strip it too much.

The Green CP is in pretty good shape other than some dents and dings. The tail gate is the only rusted part on the car. This CP is a good candidate for fixing--restoring. The previous owner swapped a few things to the yellow wagon. It's stuff that can easily be moved back. Like the rear opposing seats, roof rack and cowl vent. So, that means I would like to find a rear opposing seat for the yellow wagon and a roof rack.

Despite having more options in the yellow car, I kinda like the green car better. Someday, I hope to fix both cars and probably (maybe) sell one. That seems like a long ways off though. Winning the lottery first would help.

Congratulations First. Looks like you made quite a score there. The beige one looks to be in phenomenal shape and the green one seems pretty nice as well. Those who remember me from when I used to come on a lot know what a hubcap whitewall fanatic I am, so I have to ask. What kind of wheel covers are on the beige one? They look to me not to be the ones from '68. Am I right?

I still have a hubcap from my 68 Colony Park. It looks like it was supposed to simulate the turbine rims with the chili bowl sized hubcaps my 86 had. So, the "look" is actually going the other way around. The ones in the pic look like something much newer that were slapped on because they fit. There's no hubcaps on the one in the background.
