Hello everyone, I'm back from a week of being sick which transitioned into a week vacation in the smokies. The sickness only ruined the first couple of days. We were supposed to go to Shades of the Past, but dad booked the wrong weekend so he stayed the first week and we came up for several days to hit up Rod Run. I was able to get just very few pictures of some of the wagons. There are literally thousands of cars so of course they get a bit overwhelming. My favorite for obvious reasons. I love hideaway headlights And this is not a wagon but when a car costs this much money, ugly or not, it's worth posting
I did walk up and look at the price and I remember thinking it was almost a joke. It was either $11,000 or a higher number in the teens.
Yup! That was me. Took this past week off of work, had a lot going on. So I haven't been logged in. We were up there from Friday - Monday. I've got A LOT of wagon pictures. Lots of 55-57 Chevy wagons. Not many '70s Ford wagons though. I talked to the owner of the '68 Squire. I seem to remember him asking $12k for it. Says it has around 85k original miles, if I remember correctly. Interior was pretty nice. Way overpriced, but so is everything else at the Rod Run. I'll post up my wagon pics when I get a chance. Oh, and my sons both went crazy over that Bugatti. That was the highlight of their trip.
I thought that wagon looked familiar. We typically go to Shades of The Past, but booked the wrong weekend this year. I'd been to Rod Run several years ago. Though the types of cars don't vary much the types of people who show up do. The overwhelming amount of posers in jacked up diesels makes Rod Run a bit off putting to me.
