1973 Bel Air Wagon is back...$3550 this time not $1800

Wow! That thing is on the luxurious side of Mad Max... I would have liked some pics from under the hood and the under side of it... I kinda like the back windows blocked up like that. Puts it half way between a low budget hearse and a sedan delivery. I don't like it enough to pay $3550 for it. $1800 sure, if there's no rust issues that can't be easily fixed AND no major mechanical issues either.

 

Yep - there it is... the one with the power gate... that had to be a very rare option on the Bel-Air wagon!

Looks like someone put tape on the back cargo windows and painted it??

Those blanked out quarter windows make for some HELLATIOUS blind spots. Otherwise, it looks like a pretty good $1,800 car. For $3,500, not so much.

Looking at the inside pictures that is what it looked like to me but wasn't sure. I agree, not a fan of the treatment.

 

I was going to do this with mine THATS what dual mirrors are for.

I paid 1800. 200 for gas tank 500 tires 500 wheels 30 for oil change 100 for full tune up 100 a/c charge 200 upper and lower ball joints 200 for 4 shocks. and I did all the work .so it probably is not worth about 1800.i will keep it

 

I think you got a good deal on the wagon, I considered it when I seen it for sale the first time but have way too many projects now. Considering the work you did to it I don't think you are being unreasonable but as we stated here before wagons are usually something we love and do not have the higher values as some other cars not to say some wagons don't have high collector value and if someone has great memories of that year wagon I believe you can get close to your price. Good luck with what ever you choose to do with your wagon.

That window treatment is easy - you simply paint over the glass on the outside. Seen it done several times, with varying degrees of success. Neat car. I like the wide steelies and small caps, too.
