Yeah I've seen that article, shame she finally had to park it recently, read something about her donating it to Jay Leno or something. I think a collection like that is about the only place the car would be appreciated.
Yup, amazing lady, I never get tired of seeing the video.....I love the gun and her comment..."maybe we shouldn't show that" I can't find it, but another amazing lady has been driving her Packard( can't remember) for a million years and miles also, all original. Some one must remember her and know where to find the video?
She lives (lived?) in Michigan and there have been several stories about her. There was also an old guy who his dad gave him a Packard I think. Drove that forever. I have a friend from high school who still drives his new red GTO convertible. Another with the same 1946 Ford convertible we double dated in school in. My wife. Not him! As long as I've had old cars, I never seemed to keep any long enough.
I believe my Pontiac was at 96K (read at least 196k) when I got it and I think it's now around 222K. will let you know in a couple days...
I kept saying I had 87,095 miles and the other day when I washed it I had my glasses on and it really said 97, 095 miles . Mea Culpa . Still hasn't hit the 100K mark yet . And another thing I have come to realize is that it has to be 3.3L and not a 3.8L as I first thought . I do know that it came via a friend of mine from the original owner .
My 1977 Estate Wagon has 141,000 miles or thereabouts. I don't have to add any oil between 5000 mile changes, but it does drip just enough trans and power steering fluid to stain the driveway.
