US road trip: The Wagons

in some sort of a very lucky coincidence I made a 16 days road trip through the US; a V8Buick board member ('austingta') had bought a 1966 Buick Riviera GS in upstate NY and more or less asked us (a (Buick) car friend (AKA Bad Boattail) and I) whether we would be interested in driving his car to Austin TX.

I needed less than 1 sec to decide: so within 1 week I arranged tickets and a rental car (Chevy Trailblazer for the continueing trip after we delivered the Riv).

My family and I took one hell of a road trip back in '83 from Chicago out to Walley World in California.

We had a great trip but we had a lot of unforeseeable things happen along the way.

I'll never forget it!

Yea I think Clark's trip was made in to a documentary film. If I remember correctly.

 

Yeah, here it is years later, and my friends just mentioned taking a trek to Wally World in my wagon. I told them no jumps, but a good looking blonde and a sandwich dance may be acceptable.

i plan on driving her to ft lauterdale at some point this year, i used to live there and have friends there..... wife hates it so i roll solo when i go.
used to surf, gonna have to rent a board and strap it to the roof for the trip to the beach...yeah...then ill take a picture....white sand, wind blowin through the palms....driving down A1A in my wagon with the windows down, light shinning in through the astro roof listening to buffett and the dead....aww yes....thats my
