Hello. I am working on a 1985 Ford LTD mid size station wagon. My plan is 5.0 high output and tremec 5 speed out of a mustang with the EEC IV fuel injection. It's been done before obviously, but what could be better than a mustang station wagon! I am also on foureyedpride.com forums.

Welcome to the nuthouse. Sounds like a great plan you have there! Love those Fox body wagons, and the manual transmission and 5.0 HO will be the perfect engine in it. Best of all, if you get the engine and transmission out of the right GT or LX-5.0, you will be able to salvage the upgraded rear suspension with the 4 rear shocks and heavy duty anti-sway bars front and back. Add the right tires, and you will have a real sleeper there!

Don't forget the suspension and brakes from the mustang.

Good looking wagon! Looks like you've already dropped it, and converted to 5-lug. Great start!

I also like the woodgrain. Most I have seen aren't Squires.

I'm following your build thread(s) on FEP, I'm 81fox on there. Some of the stuff you are asking up about is helping me out as well. I'm about to drop in a 5.0/C4 out of a Lincoln Mark VII into my Zephyr. Glad to see you made it to the station wagon forum! :Welcome:

Wow! Thank you all for the welcome! My dad had a 1977 ltd country squire, and now that I am all grown up and have kids of my own a Daddy Wagon seemed like a great idea. It helps that I've always loved mustangs, and once I found out about the chassis compatibility, it was all over. I made 2 offers on cobra IRS' in the past week. I didn't have quite enough to buy either one, but I'll keep looking! 77vista, looking forward to seeing your progress on the 81fox! What model zephyr?
