    Kinda looks like Tedy's place...in a lot of vehicles sort of way.

    Not the most beautiful wagon in the world. It is, however, an interesting example of a rarity. If you can get it for a reasonable amount of money, you could have a terrific wagon.

    David: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I was not being disparaging. That wagon is beautiful in its own way, but it is not a 'show quality' car, which is what I was meaning. It is, however, a car I would love to have in my driveway, any time.

    the rusted 1970 buick estate wagon

    OH friend how I relate! I went onto ebay for station wagons after my own had quit a few months ago and what came up....GULP...ohhhhhhh my: a 1976 Plymouth Belvedere wagon...Gulp, sweat oh my A SLANT six ENGINE a 3 speed manual on the column, ohh sweat I wanted that car oh how I just wanted that car. photos of it .....the curiosity was the tail gate was lieing IN the rear area looking badly rusted, but stubborn (me) wanted it....I pursued it to the point where I PHONED the owner, in the VERY country of south jersey, I never would have known jersey here has that much country! ANYWAY we talked the owner could tell I could handle the car B U T because of that he became honest: he bare basically complimented me and told me he didnt want ME buying the car and he wanted ....I think he got 1200.00 for it. Hundreds more than I'm worth financially.SO sad when I let go of it!

    inspiration from FAST and LOUD

    I think I've stumbled into a bunch of enablers! Kind of like a support group for wagon addicts, but really just helps you further along in your addiction.:(

    so I'm sure we've all seen the episode from Fast and Loud with the Rambler wagon; they bagged it, new motor, new suspension/drivetrain;

    http://saucemanaustin.tumblr.com/post/41394341754/i-love-this-rambler-wagon-from-fast-n-loud

    I'm a big fan of this style and clear coating the natural patina as a snap shot of how nature took it's toll on a car. I also think the '70 E.W. would be a great full size candidate to go along the same lines. A drivable-partial- resto-mod if you will...:bouncy:

    Stumbling upon this site has been great and I can see a wealth of information at our fingertips.

    I plan on approaching the owner and just see what's going on with the
    'ol Buick. I'll start another thread and provide some updates on this continued fun saga!

    1st step in auto-restoration, getting your wife on board!:rofl2:
    Luke, you have a super sweet '70!

    stand by ya'll

    ...the true voice of reason! I know I know.:cry: I'd like to think I could handle anything this car throws out at me, but with out really checking it out with my eyes, poking around knocking on panels will I truly know.
