it would be a shame if the crusher got this http://saskatchewan.kijiji.ca/c-car...AN-OFFER-CRUSHER-IS-COMING-W0QQAdIdZ498066676 i would consider saving it myself but my yard is currently overfull
Just another person making a foolish statement hoping to sell the car for more than crush value. If he truely wanted to see the car saved, then he would sell it for crush value, which today is about $200, since it is such a light car.
Take a look at teh picture of the engine compartment. Doesn't that look like a flood water line on both inner fenders? Lots of work needed to save this poor little thing...
If it's only a flood and not lake storage, then the drivetrain might be trashed, if he didn't let any water out that got in. No big deal, though. A smallblock Ford with a heavy duty rear end are going in, anyhow
Yup, that's a water line. Flood or lake storage I think it's a given this drive train is thrashed. This could have just been pulled out from the recent flooding ( That would be lake parking ) and body pressure washed.. looks a bit to clean (the body) for clearly being off the road since 19??
There is something about this wagon I really like. Yes, I would be swapping in a 302 with overdrive, so whether the original engine is water damaged or not doesn't matter. The body looks complete and fairly solid. Mechanical parts are easy and inexpensive. Could be quite something with a bit of work.
I'd go a step further and run a 2.3L Focus 4-cylinder engine with a Quad4Rods adapter and a T5 behind it.
Nope, but I have smelled a molded car on a 80* day....it has to be similar! IMO, Flood car dries = MOLD! mg: But the thing is with this wagon, you would completely gut and start over
