Flipper. :yup: It was in Indianapolis when it was last for sale. Now it's in New Jersey.

It is a beautiful car. This one sure is loaded to the maximum. Two pages of options! :)

In comparison the other late 70s Grand Safari that was posted awhile back was a rather low optioned car.

Why would they flip this? Nice car. The V8 is nice too. Even a smogger will still make a nice pulling car.

It looks like it was purchased by a Dealer, they must think they can get more that $10,000 for it. And if this car had a Pontiac V-8 I would have been seriously interested in this one.

Like the dealer that bought the local 1995 Town Car I was interested in for $1700... they bought it and have it on their lot for $3000. They probably got it for $1500.

Would I rather have this '78 than my '81? Yup. Love the Valencia upholstery, and having that 403 would be nice, too. Not that I don't like the one I have. Would I pay $11,900 for it? No way.

I think the $8800 price or thereabouts is the upper end on the value for this one. If this dealer is not willing to sell it for around what he's got in it, he may have it for a very long time.

Auction ended at $6767.68. I can't say that I wasn't happy. It's already relisted and the bidding is up to $4900 with 6 days left. Not really an impressive start considering the starting bid was set at $1978.
