Looking for some pics of the location for the wiring harness clips for the tailgate window on a 67 vista. I would think any 64-67 gm a body with power window would use these clips. I failed to take pics of this and its been awhile since I took it apart ,so i can't remember there location. Thanks for any help. Tony

    Hi Tony,

Inside of the gate or leading from the body to the gate?

for the inner portion of the gate, my 70 Chevelle harness had clips built into it, and corresponding holes in sheet metal brackets that the clips pressed into. The spacing matched on my car, really no other way to run the harness. The brackets were welded to the lower inside portion of the gate, and the wires then ran up to the motor, switch, electric interlock switch and backup lights.

Outside, there was a clip that was screwed to the hinge, and another that screwed to the gate frame of the body to route the wires and keep them from pinch points..

    HTH,
    Tom

Tom ,I believe the clips mount to the body of the car or to the outside of the tailgate. Like you said, it keeps the harness from being pinched. Tony
