Not a lot. Bought a battery over the weekend & took it to Tech School Moanday morning. Instructor says it runs good for sitting almost 3 years. HOPE to get it licensed & on the road about the end of the month.

Dropped the gas tank from the wagon. I had taken it down to the gas station and filled the tank. When I got home I noticed it was leaking from what I thought was the top of the tank. Drained the tank, pulled it and no leaks from on top. So it must be one of the hose connections. I also noticed that the filler neck doesn't have a hose connecting the neck to the tank.. but rather an "O" ring that seals the connection. The O-ring is in poor shape so I'll get a new one and install it.

One of the benefits of pulling the tank was my ability to clean it out. I pulled 11 rocks and an acorn from the thing.. ha! After washing the outside and hitting the inside with a lot of detergent.. I'm letting it dry. I'll prime and paint it before install.

Need to drop mine. The sending unit float may be hanging up. Needle on the gauge never really gets up over 1/2 full, but works on the way down.

Yep... sounds like the float fur sur'. My son recently purchased a '69 Dodge Dart 2 door.. gas gauge isn't working at all. I think it may be a ground or broken wire.. but now I have to stop work and try and locate the issue with his. Stop, start, stop, start.. gets a bit challenging at times.. Oh well.. still nice to be wrenchin'. :pub:

I replaced some old, cracked vacuum hose and a plastic connector.
Now I finally have a smooth idle and the cruise control works, too!
Oh, and I painted the black window surround trim.
Next up: Transmission rear seal and filter and install rear shocks.

Hi ALL, lets see, in the last few days I pulled the drive train from my 62 olds starfire and cut what was left of the floor out so I have a pattern of where all the brackets go when I get around to welding in the new floor in the wagon.
so far so good now on to the grill and inner fenders, pulling everything off the fire wall next and swapping the power brake booster and master cylinder as it has been updated to a dual system.I dug out a set of 63 dual exhaust manifold for this project and updating the breather to a 63 using a PCV on the rocker cover ( I would rather use one of these then dump it out into the air).
Off to work to strip more parts.

I sent an email off to the body shop wondering when Fanny might get her body work started. He had said the end of Febuary or mid March...still waiting...

Hubby's been busy cleaning and painting the transmission. :)

Had to put new tires all around on our '11 Chrysler T & C @ 30,0000 miles!
Had Kumhos on it as original equipment. Looked them up on Tire Rack --- everyone
complained about poor mileage, and would not buy again!
I bought BFG Advantage T/As, which are warranteed for 60,000 miles.
Much quieter, and seem to have improved handling as well!
    Pleased with them so far!

Worked on header number 2, and tomorrow I will be spending most of the day playing with the car removing door glass and regulators and working on the body.

I have also been working on restoring interior components, and just finished the first door panel. Now that I have the technique down, I can begin the other three.

I'd really like to be driving the wagon this year!

Got closer to getting it on the road (legally). Took it in for inspection & had them do an oil change while it was there. Went to the DMV & because the title wasn't filled out right, I now have to have a bill of sale. At least it starts & runs. Dumped a can of SeaFoam in the tank after topping it off. No way to dispose of the old gas if I was to drain it (been sitting almost 3 years), figure dilute it is the best I can do. That plus the SeaFoam should help.

I did the four note horn mod on my Custom Cruiser.
It sounds like it has a diesel locomotive air horn now.:D
I went to the Pull-A-Part this morning for kicks and they had a fresh '96 Fleetwood in so I grabbed the right side horns and detailed then installed them when I got home.
Afterwards my wife and I went out to pick up some food and she drove because I had a few adult refreshments to celebrate my horn victory.:)
She was honking the horn going through every underpass, scared the heck out of me the first time she did it.
She even honked the horn at a bunch of milk cows standing out in a field we went by, they probably thought a train was coming.:D
