Just the fronts. Really no need as the conversion is with 11" rotors in the front. Plus the car doesnt weigh as much as a big car..(B body Yak)

Dang, what is the weight on yours?

Mine is 4,000 lbs and she is concerned that her weight will be increasing as the kids get older.

Finally got the 4 speed in and the exhaust done. I have to make a shifter and get the seat in so I can drive him. He looks great blacked out so far!!!

I need to get the rear window in and weld up the floor. I know the wiring looks crappy, but I am rushing to get this ready for PY show in June. I can fix that stuff later.

I am kinda rushing so I can drive it to the PY show in Pennsylvania in June, but it don't look bad!!

Installed the rear passenger side window. I will install the trim later in life..

I drove the car for about 7 miles yesterday!!! NICE!! This car hauls A$$!!! The 4 speed has a 3.36 first gear which makes this car launch!!! I am very impressed!! I kept burning a little rubber as this car has more power than I anticipated! I need to check the level of gear oil in trans. I used all I had when it was jacked up in the rear, so either I need a hair more or I over filled it.. I realized this as I was driving it.. OOPS...

My makeshift shifter is cool, but his the steering wheel. I am going to try to find an install kit for the new Grant wheel. I wont have that issue..

I still have the hood off. If I can find some help today I will put it back on. If not I am going to Breakfast cruise tomorrow with no hood..

Yesterday was 82*. The car ran at about 185* for the most part with a few hits at 195* ish. Not bad. the dual electric fan I have might need to be sealed up.. Issues to work out as I go..

Man those wheels are awesome, especially with the weight on the car.
Put a shroud on those fans. That first gear is low, it will have you chirping. What is your highest gear? 1:1 or lower?

Seriously, I think it looks tough unpainted. So, no hurry there. But yeah those wheels change everything.

I ended up buying some 17" Rallies. Which don't look mean at all, but it is my wife's car. Thus, I am mentally driving your wagon. :taz:

    still rushing!!!

I'm still rushing to get the car ready for June... I might not have enough time.. But here is the latest..

I managed to finagle the 2 door carpet in the car. Barely fits, but better than nothing.

New steering wheel installed and the chain shifter is done. I carry a back-up in case it breaks but so far so good!!

Got the AM/FM/CD/MP3/USB radio installed in the glove box..

    Front end and brakes....

Started last night to rip the front end out. Got the steering and half of the suspension off. Need to get drivers side out tonight. Nothing pretty, just cleaning it up and putting it back together..

WOW!!! I finished it!! Meaning I got all of the "Down the Road" safety stuff finished. So all new brakes, new transmission etc.. I did order a set of Iron Maiden decals for the wagon. His name is Ed anyway and he looks meaner with the decals. Front disc brakes are AWESOME!!!!

Now I can enjoy driving the car and making the Performance Years show!!!

You do nice work, in a timely matter. It's not oem, but it works. Have you thought about working on other people's cars?

LUKE!!! Good to hear from you. Are going to the PY show next Saturday?

As far as working on another persons car. I have no issue helping someone. I have no issue, putting time on another persons vehicle, if they need the help.

As far as CHARGING another person.. It would have to be something I knew I could fix to the customers expectation. I would not want to be responsible. Say for instance I dented a super rare fender or something..:banghead3:

    That said, you need help?

Nice progress and a cool wagon.

Noted on rereading the discussion of the rear shock upper mountings. I have always hated bolting in the upper mounts while trying to fight with the shock, bolt, nut and washer. So did like we do at work, and made some threaded steel blocks that replace the nut/washer (nut plates) and don't need a wrench on top for tightening, and the blocks cannot rotate. Shocks were a breeze.

Also, I hope it's OK to post a link to Team Chevelle where the Jeep GC steering box upgrade is discussed. Many have done the swap, I plan to when I get other things done. Supposed to be a nice, cost effective upgrade that really works. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334534

    Good luck,
    Tom

I think the A-bodies use a different upper shock mount in the rear, at least in 67. My Vista uses rear shocks with an axial stud for the upper mount much like the front shocks. There is a hole in the frame for the stud.
