    $3,152.57 in 1971 dollars = $18,900.04 in 2013 dollars.

Anyone remember what this car would have sold for in '71?

I'm guessing the sticker would have been in the $5,200 neighborhood, give or take. Just a guess. Also, chances are, it didn't come new with those wheels, either.

Wheels on 71 Ford Country Squire.

While I may not be thrilled with the tires, those are the rims I would like on my 69. They are obviously NOT for original appearance. Still, I just like the look. Price is currently around $150/rim on EBAY.

Actually, the Kelsey-Hayes Magnum 500 chrome Road Wheel was either a Ford factory-installed wheel, or a dealer-installed option, depending on the car line. I see no reason why this would not be right on this car, especially as a dealer option. The wheels and tires make this wagon pop!!!:dancing: I would dig owning this car.

_______________^^^^^^^ Me too! I sort of remember those wheels as an option, at least on 1970-71 cars. Looks like a new wagon.

Oh, I know you could get those wheels on the big Fords, I was just saying I didn't think this wagon would have come with them originally. Just my hunch......

Now those are appropriate tires and wheels for that wagon! Stunning look. Like the CB. Nice touch.

That's a spectacular looking Squire, but I don't think they will get that price for it. If it had the 429 V8 and all power options, then maybe.

This car had been for sale for at least a year on Craigslist when I tried to buy it over the phone in June 2010. The seller was located in Madison, WI and I believe was asking something like $5,500 at the time. Silverfox offered to look at the car for me, but the seller wasn't willing to a long-distance deal over Craigslist. I even offered to use an escrow service, but I think the seller thought I was a scammer. There's no way this car is worth $19,000, but that's just my opinion.

Yup...I rermember this car, tiger. IIRC, the car was just outside of Madison in Oregon, WI.
Says $6000....where are you seeing $19,000?
