"" Cd doesn't seem to work."" it does or it doesn't... which is it... Why was coil replaced... Why, at only 38,000 miles would it need plug wires... Why would fixing a dent hurt the value....
Hey Xenon - I read a tech article in a Hemmings Muscle Machine's by Ray Bohazc about how over time, even used sparingly, they lose their ability to do the job like when they are new and having heard and read this from others in the past, whether it is correct or not, I'm inclined to do this with my wife's 91 S-10 Blazer. It just hit 40K miles, little things like rear window/lift gate struts needed to be replaced last week so I'm now wondering if I can improve mileage by changing to a replacement factory coil, wires, plugs, as Ray suggested might be one probable positive outcome. I'm sure there are many opinions on either side, but in my case, I think it is worthwhile to do. Just sayin............
Woww, Saf... I have a 1996 Cav as a daily, has almost 180,000 on it and still has original wires, coils, welll,, everything... Did change plugs once and did trans twice.. Which is sorta why I am a tad pissed as I do believe the timing jumped a tooth week or so ago so now have to do timing set and tensioner... Also as long as I am in there replace the oil plug with the new .040 one from GM.... So to me seems odd to be changing that stuff with such low mileage... But thanks for the insight...
I didn't replace the original plug wires on my OCC until it hit 250,000 and didn't notice much of a change either.
In my opinion that the car is a little overpriced for a plain-Jane looking Caprice wagon without the tow-package and a large dent in the quarter panel, even with the low mileage and the LT1.
Tailgate may have been resprayed. "Caprice Classic" nameplates are incorrectly positioned and too far apart...
This one doesn't pass the snif test. He says "I know what my car is worth." Funny, I thought the market is what decides what things are worth. Price is too high for what it is....not by that much, but it would have rolled by now if it was priced fairly.
Nice, but over priced IMO. As for "I know what my car is worth"........ hang on to the dream seller, hang on to the dream.......
