I've purchased carpets from stockinteriors.com; very happy with the products and prices.

    Thanks guys.
I remember looking at Stock Interiors, but I guess I didn't book mark it.

Good for you, working on the beast. Looking at your floors I'd swear in was a island car from where I live, then I realized your in California.....Your floors are even better!:)

I should be working on my Beteor now that it's nice out, but I'm again working on the house....I have my priorities all messed up:biglaugh:

Looks good! Your project is in way better shape than mine sadly, but I don't care. I have vowed to bring it back from the dead...

FInally got the last piece of 4 speed swap.. The flywheel.

I will be plasma cutting the floor to shape and pulling the trans here shortly.

    More to come...

Got the transmission mocked up. I have to adjust the shifter. AKA grind off the angle and reweld it so it fits the mount hole. I will be making some weird shifter. I used that metal bar as a temporary stick. I am going to make it very long. Kinda hot rod style. I also had an older 2 door carpet that will fit. I am going to make the 4 door "wings" needed out of the overlap.

Also I have the new rims coming today. I might have a line on some decent used tires as well.

Coming together!!! I need this done by June! So I can drive it to the show!!!

Got the flywheel and clutch installed. Then I got the transmission shifter rods installed and installed the transmission to the bell housing. It was too late to get my wife to push the pedal to see if I had a good marcal distance for disengagement. I will have to get that done today or tomorrow.

    More to come...

Nice work. Looks like you will be done in time. That plasma cutter worked beautifully.

Clutches look so sci-fi to me. Or like a meat grinder.

URG!!! The throwout bearing is too short.. I have the same one on order that worked in my other Tempest when I swapped that to a 4 speed. I really have no idea why these TO bearings do NOT work....

Any way. Got the new rims and tires ready to go! I will swap them out when I get the car off of the jacks. I will attache a picture of the rims below.

Since I have to wait for TO bearing, I will finish up some rear window work and hopefully maybe get some yard work done!!!

New rims!! I do NOT have the center caps yet. I painted the middle of the hubs black so they would not stick out. I will get the center caps later..

    RIms!

So I got tired of looking at the old crappy ones, so I test fit the new ones. I was gonna take them off, then said the hell with it and they are not coming off!!

Pictures dont really do it justice. Nor is the fact that it is on jackstands..(I need a lift!)

Car is gonna look $%^(ing MEAN!!!!

Are the center caps on order or just waiting til you get further along?
How long til you get that TO bearing? I want a video when this is done.

Do you know how much a '76 Q-Jet runs for? It's off an El Camino at a Pick-A-Part for $63 and looks to be in good condition. I was thinking of picking it up and rebuilding it later to have on hand.

Good to know. I will pick it up next time I am out there.

What conversion are you planning on? Just the fronts or the rear too?

Either way they look pretty mean as is.
