305 V8. 57k miles. This Caprice Estate looks spectacular inside and out. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima Great color! This should be an interesting auction to watch. Yet another interestingly optioned 1970s car with power locks and fairly rare (for 1977) options like intermittent wipers, power antenna and rear window defroster, but no power windows or seat.

    77 caprice

I'm not loving the patch-job on the bottom wood-grain by the doors.
I mean the wood-grain doesn't even match. Arrr..........

Interestingly its also a 2-seat (6-passenger) wagon. I am not sure of the production numbers for the '77 Chevy wagons, but I think that in '77 it seems like most of the '77 Caprice Estate wagons had the 3rd seat.

What's up with the crusty rusty brake booster and the cruise bracket?

Yes, those do look out of place in that clean engine bay.

A couple other minor flaws but a real nice wagon over all.(y)

The red late 70s GM interior plastics haven't turned purple. That's the most amazing thing to me.

If the damn thing had the 3rd row seat, I would be interested.

    Deal breaker for me....

If it had the 350 V8, power seat, windows and 3rd seat, it would be pretty close to perfect.

I hope whoever buys it is able to continue to store it indoors so that interior will continue to stay that nice and not turn ugly and discolored.

    oh those woodie "fixes"

The man I bought my 86 Colony Park from, was worried that the little patches, here and there, where the woodie had flaked of the car, looked bad. So, he got a dark brown marker and a dark brown paint stick and filled in the spots where the Wimbledon White was showing through. :49: Not exactly effective either...

I keep coming back to this car as it is what I am looking for. I will compromise on the 350 and power windows....but that damn 3rd row seat is not there!!

Why the hell order it without it?!! (retorical question)

I guess you could add the 3rd row seat, but the bigger problem would be finding one in red.
