Sounds like you're a trooper like me. I was worried about mine firing up in this sub-zero. 9 at nite, in the K-Mart lot, sitting there with my fingers crossed. Boom, no hesitation, that baby just kicks. I love this car more every day!

well its been cold here not as bad as back east but cold for these parts nonetheless,,,and they are callin for more snow tonight about the time i get off work ( oh joy ) i hate the snow,,,,so if i get around in time i may get the 84 olds back out ,,,i hate to say it but with the way people drive around here i,m concerned with gettin run into and of the the three i reckon i,d rather sacrifice the 84 over the other two,,,,but then again we ( the wife and i) are generally smart enough to know when to and not to be on the road,,,,and GOD bless em i know most people are tryin to be safe ,,,,,but as i have seen many a white knuckle drivin folks plum scared to death doin 20 on a clear street with chains on i,m thinkin lord help us if we really get some snow here,,,sunday we ran some errands and on this same road i saw (1) a guy in a four wheel drive suv doin twenty,,,,road was clear and 100% visibility,,,,,,ok fine whatever,,,(2) a little further down the same road a guy in a front wheel drive honda WITH chains on and i am dead serious ,,,doin fifteen mph white knucklin all the way hmmmm clear road surface 100% visibility four lanes two south and two north i just shook my head in dis belief

I'm also thinking about putting a block heater on mine, she's real cold blooded, as she sits jealously next to the garage, as my parents TrailBlazer, Jimmy, and Silverado sit in there LOL.

It just started snowing when I left school today, nothing too serious, just go the speed limit give or take and you'll be fine, ya know? One of them situations. I'm trying to cross 2 lanes of traffic, and I know I'll spin 'em if I try to floor it across traffic. Finally, there's just one truck, and the guy went a full block and a half's distance going 10-15 in a big 4x4 F-150. I was just screaming til'I was red in the face at this guy. When I finally got across, my brother and sister just asked me, "are you okay?" Seriously, If I can go the speed limit, Mr. Jacked up F-150 4x4 can too.

Yeah, usually I ain't got too much problem in town, either people get out of the way of the big boat, or pass you by because they think you're elderly. Mine floats down the highway at 55-60, also. We've only pushed her to 80, and she still just floated down the road.

lol its fun to play the elderly.:rofl2: at one point it time i pushed mine past 100 mph! it doesnt have a sway bar so it got very dangerous but we maxed the speedometer and kept going. (my brother liked to race it.) surprised that we won!

Yeah, some of these wagons are fast. My mom had a 77 ltd with a 400 big block adn my dad had a 66 caprice with a 396 big block, both were very fast and powerful. Mine don't hold a candle to 'em. The 200r4 trans makes it better for pulling and pushing through snow than going fast. I'd never know if I hit 100 anyways LOL, the speedo only goes to 85.

lol my speedometer goes to 85 also but we had a tag car with footage of our epic victory in a wagon (we were racing a big toyota deisel duel-e). what do you have under the hood? i have a 5 litter V8 307,and it works fine for both the power and speed.

I've got a 5.0 liter 307 Olds with a 4 barrel carb. Backed by the 200r4 trans. There's 140 hp, but the trans is what the local mechanic called 'a slushbucket by design'.

lol same what ive got. the Rochester 4 barrel. mines somehow producing approx 150 hp though. yea the transmissions arent the best design. does your motor have trouble idleing in really damp climates?like during a huge rain storm? for some reason mine does.

I drive the Protege daily. EFi, 5 speed. No changes for winter driving, however I'd love to have some dedicated winter wheels/tires so I could run a grippier tire in the summer.

The Squire does OK for DD, but the suspension is a bit stiff. It's EFi, but averages like 19mpg and I drive 150 miles a day. It does rather nice in the snow, with the street tires on it. It id better than the protege did last year in the snow.

i drive my buick everyday.....its my first winter with it so im still seeing how it reacts. i have some 205 75 r15's in my garage that were on my s10 in the winter and ill see if they fit if it gets too rough outside.

i have an LT1 which is a 350ci with multiport injection coupled to a 4l60e 4 speed trans.
