This is my favorite time of the year here in Texas. Cool mornings, warm afternoons, and roads are all lined with wildflowers. My motorcycle buddies keep sending me pics of their rides in the hill country. I'm dying to go ride myself.

People that have never been to Texas always seem to think it's all desert and cactus, cattle and cowboys. It's always a shock when they actually visit. My friend Ben from New Jersey brought his uncle down here some years back for a spring ride and visit. His uncle was born and raised in New Jersey and had never been south of the mason/dixon line. He was first shocked by how long it took to get to Austin once they crossed into Texarkana (6-hours), and then he said "I can't believe I've been in Texas for hours and not seen anyone on a horse yet". :rofl2:

Anyway here's some recent pics from just west of Austin. I'm ready to bolt for the door now!

I'll have to admit, this is what I thought and some times still think when it comes to Texas...

Ah, Fanny. You may be easy, but are you cheap? That's the question.
