As a car to keep, and enjoy, this one has great potential. As a bug out vehicle, not so much. The first year of the full-sized Chrysler products being a unibody, so rust is something to watch for. Also, mechanical parts for a car that old can be a challenge at times. Pretty much everything is available, but not necessarily right now. Many things need to be ordered and waited for. Just something to keep in mind. As for the looks, they are very subjective. Personally, I like the look of these wagons. they look much nicer than the sedan counterparts. They drive quite nicely for their age, too.

As the owner of a 60 Sedan, that is the second year of that unibody chassis. None-the-less, rot is a big problem on most of them, and usually why they met their demise. Many mechanical parts are available, while restoration, body, and "non wear" mechanicals are non existent for that car. This is a car for someone who really enjoys the car and doesn't mind endless amounts of time and money both in work on it, and work in getting the pieces.
It appears that this beatimus wagon has found a home. I was checking the ebay and found a nice Plymouth wagon, and look see what the seller says his next project is! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Delu...=STRK:MEWAX:IT&forcev4exp=true#ht_1023wt_1167 The '61s are love them or leave them. I love them. I've owned several over the years, and currently have 3 1961 wagons. Pete
