The dual exhaust is very easy. You don't have catalytic converters to worry about, to the price isn't even all that high. 2 1/2 inch pipes directly to the manifolds. Have the shop make an X cross over. For mufflers, if you want a fairly quiet system, the DynoFlow or DynaMax mufflers are great. The FlowMaster DeltaFlow flows a bit better, but is a little noisier. Still well within reason. After the mufflers, the pipes go over the back axle. INSIST that the pipes come out on the side, with the driver's side matching the position of the passenger, which should be in the stock location. You do not, under any circumstances, want the pipes coming out under the back bumper, as aerodynamics can suck exhaust fumes into the car, even with the window up. After all, at 40 years old, that rear window seal is not going to be completely up to par.
Dual Exhaust Thanks MikeT..., Yes that sounds like a good set up. I knew about the pipes needing to be on the sides, which makes total sense with a wagon. You are exactly right about the window seal. Mine is poor and I picked up some weather strip today I plan to install to try and beef it up without redoing from scratch. Hope it helps quiet the whistle above 55mph.
Well buckle up my full bores and Hair Scrambler. I've been away ah few years so tell me. Are the Huskies still always chasing the Penton's and KTM's around the course Just kidding My son-in-law straddles a Kow and we play that same game too. Sweet Bike! Hey Eagle Freek, That is pretty cool. If I were riding 2 stroke I would love that WR 300. Wish I could have it as a second Bike. Actually I am quite blessed to have one Husky. My TE does get a little big on some of the gnarly track sections. Here is a Pic. I strip the road stuff for racing. I am on Cafehusky. better move this reply there before I get us in trouble eh?
Gotcha Eagle Freek. Nice to know! I don't have much experience on forums of any kind so I need to learn the ropes. The reception here has been quite nice and lots of nice comments on my wagon find which I appreciate. Thanks Everyone!
