And I thought the rust on my spare tire pan was bad, man, if you'd had a spare tire in there it would've fallen out and ran away. :D

I've gotta do some hacking on my '86 Olds to fix the tire pan, but I've got an (Unwilling) donor 1989 Olds, looks good so far, I plan to do a thread like this when I start sorting out my wagon.

    Keep 'em coming.

Great job and great pics! Many of us face similar challenges with our wagons so it is instructive to see how you forge ahead.

    Hi guys!

Happy New Year......Yes sorry it's been a little slow with any progress.....Unfortunately I've been waiting on my dash board to be restored since early October, so all the electricals are basically hanging free.....The dash is being recovered and vacuum formed, but one excuse after another, so was told not till after the new year (hopefully this one).

Not a real worry though, I bought a whole bunch of parts from AMES and Tamraz such as rear panels and RAIV induction parts and they are waiting for loading into a container in LA for shipping to Perth. So nothing much can happen till they arrive. Then off to the painters.

I've also bought a set of 255 x 15-60 BFG Radial T/As so that she have something new to sit on. Today the Postie delivered a set of 15x7 Honeycombs.....not sure where I want to put them. The current WS6 15x8 Snowflakes look good, now they are stripped and ready for polish and painting.

Incidently I also bought a '79 T/A in the mean time to add to my increasing stable.....I now need a bigger shed and a smaller house...I'm using the house to store stuff.

Oh yes and I've been kind of busy working on the 455 install on the '76 T/A......leason learnt...."B" and "A" body mounts don't fit "F" body....waiting on some 400 "F" Body mounts to finish final install. Also long tail TH400 is a PITA.

'76 YH "B" Body 455 bored 40 thou, E-Brock Heads, match ported Inlet Manifold, XE268H Comp Cam, Headman headers, 1:6.5 Roller Rockers, DR Timing Chain, H beams, forged Pistons etc.....every thing but the block and the crank are new.

Nice Poncho wagon! I just about had bought a '70 LeMans wagon back in August, but it didn't work out and my search continued. I really liked that body style since my first car was a '70 Tempest. I did buy a nice '63 Safari recently.

Keep the progress pix coming. Great color too. BTW, I bought some parts prematurely when I thought I was getting the '70. I have an NOS set of door edge guards for a 70-72 Pontiac wagon. Was going to put them up for sale, and your car reminded me I still had them.

Let me know if interested. Keep up the nice resto, preserving Pontiac history, one car at a time ;)

Well the assembly has started, but it's going to be slow, as I don't want to wreck it now after waiting so long. 3 months waiting on the dash to be recovered started to wear on me, so it was a relief that I could pick it up today.

Here are a few pics of the Dash and the arm rests, now all recovered and ready to go back into the wagon. The whole lot compliments the new carpet.

I still have to wash down the A/C parts that sit below the dash and then connect everything up.
