Here are some pics of the '85 Colony Park that I purchased this fall from the 85-year-old original owner in Maryland. The car just passed 172,000 miles. To say that the original owner was meticulous is an understatement...the three decades of service records he passed on to me are incredible. So far I have rebuilt the window motor in the tailgate and replaced a heater hose. The engine has lots of new parts. Great tires, brakes, exhaust. Power equip. all working including factory radio and tape deck. On the "to do" list is reviving the air conditioner and getting the tail gate to swing down again. Driving it daily 6 miles round trip to work and loving it!!
That is a TERRIFIC car! Simply beautiful. Welcome to the nut house. We may be crazy, but that's fine by us. Does the wagon have single or dual exhausts? If it is a single, when the exhaust needs doing next, switch to a 2 1/4 inch dual system with an H pipe and DynaFlow mufflers. Still nice and quiet, but you'll gain about 15 or 20 horsepower and about 4 or 5 mpg on the highway.
Thanks for the suggestion about the exhaust Mike. It's in good shape now, but I would love to have more horsepower when I have to replace it down the road. My 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter have already gotten very attached, so I have a feeling this wagon will be with us for a long time.
