Whoops. My car had these rear child safety door locks on it and I almost threw them away. I had no idea they were original. I thought they were something the previous owners had picked up at walmart or something like that. Luckily I stored them in a bag, but I had planned on replacing them. If they were an original OEM part, I guess I'll keep them, especially since my wife found out she was pregnant yesterday, though my belief is if I say don't touch the door lock then my kids will learn not to touch the door lock. Anway, guess I'll keep them on since it's not cheap K-Mart stuff. Brandon
Congratulations on the addition, Brandon. Good save on those parts, too. I have a feeling they are as rare as hen's teeth! My guess is that as the kids grew up, most of them were either tossed or lost.
So looks like those door lock guards simply clipped up around the knobs somehow? They prevented little hands from pulling the knobs up?
Congrats on the newby on the way ,never seen these child saftey locks before look like they would do the job well
Thanks, everyone! Since they were installed on my car, there was no box. They attach to the lock-rod with a set screw. I did use them before I pulled them off just out of curiosity but now I can't remember exactly how they did their job, but they did. Brandon
