I've driven my 69 Fairlane wagon over 600 miles since Nov 10th. I've driven it every day to work during that time, as well as for nearly all of my weekend errands. I don't haul Jake & Elwood in it because they get dirt, mud, slobber and hair all over. I don't have the Fairlane setup like my Pilot for hauling dogs, so they don't get to ride in the cool car!

Driving it every day has made me pay attention to the little things that needed attention - wobbly mirror needing tightening, tailgate window needing adjustment to close properly, finish putting the panels on the rear cargo area (removed during suspension work), etc.

Driving it also helps reinforce what I like about it and that I'm glad I've got it. I usually keep a "play" car for 3 or 4 years and then find something else, but I think this one's a keeper!

In addition to puttering around town, I've been using mine to drive between Winnipeg and Kenora. That's about a 240 mile round trip, probably half a dozen trips so far.

I don't drive mine daily because of my 64 mile round trip drive to work, but I do drive them quite often. I use either one to tow my dirt bike and the closest riding place is 70 miles away. Both my wagons have been to Nevada and back this year. About 4000 miles round trip.

:icon_drive: Mine gets driven daily but then again it's practically a new car compared to most members' cars here.

I've put about 5,000 miles on the Bonneville since I bought it in August of 2011.

It does ALL of my parts-hauling errands and most of my DD activity, but my wife and I take the new car when we go anywhere together.

I only put about 500 miles on my kingswood estate wagon this summer......most back and forth to the transmission shop trying to sort out some 200R4 issues....I think it is getting close. Won't know until spring......just tucked it away for the winter.

Nora's not a wagon, but she is 35 years old now. I've had her for 22 months and put 71,000 kms on her (about 47,000 miles). Just last week I put just on 1,400 kms (about 850 miles) on the old girl.

I drive mine as much as I can, but sadly thats not much. Between the cost of gas, not driving it to places I deem "dangerous" to leave it, and life getting in the way, that leaves it to get about 500 or so miles this past year, 300 or so of them were in my one day trip to hershey park.

Still piecing mine together, but I'm hoping once done that it'll be my daily driver. I'm setting it up with all the bells and whistles to make daily commuting enjoyable and economical. Pulled the V8.. installing a straight six, upgrading brakes, heat, wiper system, TUNES.. everything that I can to make sure that my daily commute is enjoyable, affordable, and that I stand out like a flippin' jewel in a sea of plastic cars! For it will not only be my daily commuter and parts hauler, but also my calling card.. as I want to fix and flip on the side.

So tho' I thought I would have it on the road by now I've decided to slow down with it.. make everything right so when I do get it out on the road it will be a rewarding experience. I don't spend a whole lot of time in my daily commute (about 20 - 30 minutes each way).. but still enough to where I want to make sure comfort and reliability aren't something I have to worry about just because I'm driving a classic car.

Ok.. that was a whole lot of words about nothing! ha! :rofl2:

I'm up to about 12,000 miles on my '58. Got it on the road almost two years ago and it's been my daily driver since. Round trip to work is about 50 miles. Yes, the cost of gas sucks, but I love driving it. It can be a pain, but it's worth it to me.

Ugh...Haven't had the wagon on the road since March, interior is pretty much stripped out, tough to drive without a steering wheel or a front seat. Ha! When she was put together she was mostly a fair weather gal, sunny clear days take her for a cruise or to Napa on sunday for my short shift. With the wiper cowel shaved smooth I tend not to drive her if it looks like rain. (no wipers) It was kind of a promise I made to the car when reassembling her after paint "no more bad weather for you my dear"...plus cleaning her up again is just a pain. In the last 6 years probably less than 500 miles. Before paint she was my daily driver and somewhat of a target for the local UHP's, primer grey with 2% tint all the way around and a static drop of about 6" seemed to make them a tad grumpy. Hmmmmm Weird.

Drive mine when it is raining or too cold to ride bike. Usually family and I take it on the weekends. And have driven it to Florida 2 times since I bought it in March this year, 650 mile round trip plus the driving around once we get there.
