Good, it is yours absolutely now. Getting it home will happen soon enough, then you can start the fun and games.

Nice to have the first part done before you headed south.

Congrats on your great purchase Krash. These Pontiac wagons are great cruisers, simple to repair and easy on the wallet. Pontiac did make a specific 15X7 Ralley II wheel for the 77-81 full-size wagon. I found a set for my 77 Safari through Car-part.com, try to get them with the center caps if possible, for some reason people feel the caps are made out of gold or something.

Congrats on your purchase! Its a nice one. The older ones must be more desirable than the later Safari wagons. I had a beautiful dark blue with woodgrain '89 Safari wagon (I owned it from 2001 until 2010) that could not even give away. It had a super nice interior, 100% rust free, ran good (low on power) and I could not even sell it for $700. I listed it here for $700 and couldnt even sell it. lol. I ended up trading it to a man for a 1989 BMW 325i (that I didnt even want, but he wanted to trade). I knew I would have a better chance of selling the BMW, so I traded it. I ended up selling the BMW for $2000, then took that and bought a 1984 Mercedes 190D that I bought for $1800, then sold it for $3400, so it all worked out good in the end. I miss the wagon though and even though the man said he wanted the car because it would be easier for him to drive I wonder if he wanted it for other reasons I wont mention, :(, but I hope it didnt end up crashed, but I did offer it here, but there was no interest in it, which I found very strange.

Good luck with yours, I love that front-end!

Thanks for the link, Barry. I'll call on them Tuesday. Wish I could tell which bolt pattern they are just by looking at them.

Wish I could tell also from a glance. I wouldn't be sitting with a couple of sets of wheels that no matter how hard I stare at them they won't fit the vehicle I'd intended them for :slap::slap:

Just hope this fellow has the wheels you want. The prices seem reasonable for cores, as long as they are not bent. That's another one of those things we've missed when buying wheels - get them home only to realize that a former owner tried to pull them over too large an axle center hub and bent them :slap::slap::slap:

So far I haven't done any four slap mistakes yet, but there are still many swap meets ahead offering me all kinds of opportunities to regret my hasty purchases.

    Just a quick question.....
Is the bolt pattern usually stamped on the wheel somewhere?

That was shame you couldn't get a buyer for your wagon. Should have been worth much more.

Some might say I paid too much for this one, but it's all relative. I'm thinking I got the deal of the century.....

Because of it's rarity, this wagon should have sold a long time ago (it was for sale for around a year and a half..). Seller just didn't get the word out on it. I just happened to run across it back in the summer of 2011 doing a CL search.

I bet it is, I'm looking at inside rim of my 1980 Olds Starfire rims(anybody need a set?) and I see a date stamped and some other info I can't quite make out. I see "JJ" stamped on it.

The full size GM wagons are all 5 on 5". The 7" Ralley II wheels would have the code HH or KD on the inside.

I have never seen the bolt pattern stamped on a wheel.

This is a good video on how to properly measure

RM -what about the trim rings?. I believe I've seen 2 types - ones with a sharp outer lip, and a 2nd type where the outer lip is rolled. Hard to tell in the pics, but yours looks like type #1.
