At first....what a nice forum! My real name is Jorg and I'm from Holland...for daily work I'm a bike mechanic. Since 2006 I'm the proud owner of a Ford Country Custom wagon '65. I bought it in bad shape and now I'm olmost finished with the restauration.... From orgine it was a funeral wagon.(hope this is good english....) I did repair the body with after a paintjob an fixed all the technical problems... Now at the moment I'm bussy with the interior to make it beautiful as it was in '65........... For the future I want to put in a Ford V8 460 engine. See you on the forum, goodbey!
Jorg. It really seems like the Dutch are getting into wagons! Nice wagon you have and maybe someday you could tell a bit more about the restoring process!
Consider that the palace is only a mile away from the (US-car) junk yard I more than regular visited back in the 8-ties (Luyben) Last year I even met one of his former employers I knew from that period... he still has his 27 Imperials
It's a small world I know that guy very good from Luyben............he's still working there on the US car side.....
That guy amazed me by still exactly knowing the location where they had the 75 Riviera parts car back in 1984 (rownumber / pilenumber ). Back than I needed the only part that was missing from my first Buick: a bumper guard... rest of the car was still brand new when I bought it (a 9 year old car for less than $500 (nowadays currency): Back in '84 or '85;
