It's back online again, this time with Oregon plates on it. Last time it had Colorado plates on it. Much better photos this time though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-O...8913936?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2576529690
I think you're meaning several auctions ago. It had Oregon plates for his auction that ended two days ago. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-O...3809757?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item257604b45d
it sure is a sweet looking car, but reading your post i would question its many apperances on the market, guess no ones bid enought yet
You would question what, specifically? Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. The car is the car. It is what it is. If the people bidding on it are flakes, and it keeps reappearing on the market, that's something else. Don't hold it against the car unless you know for sure the car is the problem. My guess is it's not. If you're interested, check it out and bid. It's not like these come on the market all the time, especially in this condition. It may or may not be worth $18,000. The marketplace will determine that.
hi, no not saying the cars a bad un, can see from the pictures its a nice clean car, what i mean is ,if it gerts bids unless its a reserve not met kind of auction sale, seems strange such a good looking ride keeps being offered up, if i was nearer or richer than i am ,i sure be interested,
This car was purchased six weeks ago from the Colorado owner by an Oregon dealer who is now flipping the car. The Colorado owner put the car on eBay originally and the guy in OR made him an offer to cancel the auction and sell outside of eBay. The car is now in OR. The OR dealer has had it on eBay three times...with it getting bid to over $18,000 the first time. LOTS and LOTS of bids early on, running the price up of the auction. Hmmmm? Unfortunately the car is fairly low optioned: no power windows, seat, or locks (and no deluxe armrests), AM radio. The Custom Cruisers were the most expensive of the clamshells and are usually better equipped. This is a lovely car though, and a rare survivor
That's actually a more realistic result. I can't see these cars selling for nearly $20,000 regardless of condition.
Agreed. Even $14k is high for a low optioned car. Probably the finest one I have ever seen sold last year for $14700. It was a 73 Custom Cruiser with EVERY factory option and 50k miles.
A few months back, there was a 76, fully optioned, and in pristine original shape, that sold for $18,000. For a true survivor, with the right options, nearing $20,000 is about right. It just has to be something spectacular, and fully equipped.
Still for Sale This car is still for sale as of today; despite being bid to over $18k and then over $14k twice. Seller is Cascadia Classics in OR. Seller says $16k will buy it.
