I just got a set of lap/shoulder harnesses from JC Whitney to retrofit to the rear of my 84 Country Squire. Wondering if anyone has already done this and has any tips to offer. I did a search and didn't see anything, if there is already a thread for this you can just shove me in the right direction.

Rear shoulder harnesses were a factory or dealer installed option, so the good news is that the upper mounts are build in to the car. Just a matter of finding them, and away you go. A very worthwhile upgrade. The 90 and 91s had the rear 3 point harnesses standard equipment, by the way. Take a look at one of them, and you'll know where the mount is. Then, all you need is a T-50 socket and good to go.

x2 on the belt mounting points, even my '71 Vista Cruiser had them for the second and third seat shoulder harnesses.

If you can't find the info online the factory service manual should show where the mounting points are and how to install the belts.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that the mounting plate would be there but I hadn't had time to pull the trim off yet to find out. Hoping to dig into it this weekend.
