Just putting out my introduction to all out there and feel very privileged to be around folks who love the wagon. I am younger then most owners out there but always grew up in the back seat of a one, a Monaco and a Chrysler, maybe I was made in the back seat?, who knows. My family and Uncles all had one, it really didn't matter what brand it was, the memories I have experienced were that they were always hauling something. From the usual groceries, to machinery for our farm, sporting events, church, and for some reason hauling loads of cut wood for the stove? So which brings us today for my passion for owning one and cruising around with my family. This year I pulled the trigger and bought a wagon which has brought great joy to my daughter and myself personally. It is a 68' Impala wagon which has the third row rumble seat. I am a full-time artist and I really needed a "hauler", so this car is so big that I can put a 4 x 8 sheet in the back! It is a project car and the previous owner did some great modifications and now I am gonna finish her. One painting at a time. Being a virgin owner to a classic car and working on one, I have found immediately that what your mind and daydreams want for the car to the reality of what time it takes, and money, and just life, one gets humbled pretty quick. It is a process that I am learning. Lastly, my favorite thing is just working on the car. It tooks 4 months to find the front Chevy emblem but when I put it on, it could have been a bottle of fine champagne christening a million dollar yacht. Jimmy

I saw that! Very rare I guess to see two project cars together that are the same year and body style. I really don't know what the differences are in the two cuz they look the same to me except for the Impala has some more lights in the rear? Gonna be fun to see them both come along and get painted and road ready. McGills wagon is the first 68' that I have known of the owner, or seen of one. At Goodguys Des Moines this year, I saw a perfect 67' but haven't personally come across any 68's till his. Pretty rad. Like spotting a unicorn.
