The start bid is too high. On top of that, it's a horrible color combination.

Agree on the price. Too much to do to cost $8,500....
Personally, I like the turquoise interior.

Seller has reduced the opening bid price to $5,850, added a "buy it now" price of $7,850. But no bids yet.

If I lived somewhere without snow and salt, I would be very interested in this one. Looks very solid indeed. I love the colour combo. Wimbledon white with the blue interior is a beautiful combo in my books. In person, I don't think the interior is quite as turquoise as it looks in the pictures. I love the honest battle scars on this one, too. You could use this wagon a lot and not have to worry about maintaining perfection. Looks like it would give many, many years of solid service with proper maintenance, as well.

Arizona is currently my goal! Or maybe Victoria, BC. Somewhere where there's no snow (and salted roads), and more sun than rain. :)

I hear Costa Rica is nice. We have some friends who retired there.

I've heard good things about Costa Rica too, but I would want to be able to drive to and from my retirement home to the rest of the U.S. and Canada.

Hmmmm ... maybe something like this for off-shore retirement homes:

    DUKW on eBay

I do not perform many searches on ebay, but I do wonder if his description and the lack of some key words may be affecting his sale. For instance, no mention of what it really is "Country Sedan" and "station wagon".

I just wonder how much more traffic the seller might have with different words.

Price dropped again starting 4,50 and buy it now 6,750 but reserve not met. It looks like a nice car and if didnt already own two of them i would go get it, I want a factory a/c car. Might be easier and cheaper to contact seller and buy from him with out ebay. 16 hrs left and no bids,if anyone here buys it i have the side trim that is missing or bent on this car.

I just scan the "classic cars" section under "Ford Galaxie" and "Ford Other", but don't do a key word search. It's surprising how many eBay sellers don't list their Country Sedans and Country Squires (the few that I've seen) under "Ford Galaxie", but list them as "Other". Don't they know it is a Galaxie? They call them "Woody Wagons"!

    Like this one, for example:

And I have learned that some Galaxie owners still think they have a GalaxY.
