Nice wagon but I think 102,000 is alot of miles for $6000. Is there something wrong with that piece of trim on the bottom of the quarter panel in the first pic or am I seeing things?

$6,000 is to much. I called on it as I love blue and woodgrain. It had a sunroof that they filled in. Says you can't even tell unless you look at the headliner. Woodgrain is faded severly except for the RH rear quarter???Why is that.........thats also where the paint is bubbling. 6 passenger with cruise tilt power windows and locks. Comparing to my 74 I would say this is a $3-$3,500 wagon. Being a 73 it has the bad tail lights, faded woodgrain, "filled" in sunroof. I like the fact it has original title and window sticker but something tells me RUN and RUN fast from this car IMHO

Thanks for the additional info. :) I thought it looked pretty good based on the photos with the ad, but that "filled" in sunroof alone would be a deal breaker for me, too. No way.

I don't bother trying to look at ads if I have to do cartwheels to see the car.:disagree:

Being a newbie, what do they mean by the sunroof being filled in? Would this have been after it was sold or is it something that GM did for some of their cars in '73?

If in fact there was a sunroof and it was filled in, would the new owner be able to put in a period-correct sunroof without running into too many issues?

    Just curious. :):whew:

GM did not offer a factory sunroof on the '71-'76 full size wagons. Likely someone at some point had a pop-up sunroof installed, which was later removed. How it was "filled" in is anyone's guess. I wouldn't touch it.

Well I have the factory option books for 73 and 74. And there is NO data code for a sunroof. I had seriously thought about going to look at it but something smells fishy on this car. Just to many variables that make no sense. I am on the hunt for another wagon since I am sure my 74 is going to a new home. I thought this might be the one since it has power windows, locks and tilt but I believe it is not the quality of car I want.

That's interesting. I wouldn't dare touch it either if it was filled somehow. Thanks for the information

The guy swears it is factory and only a one owner car. He was going to check the invoice tonight when he got home. I have researched it and there is NO evidence of a sunroof available in full size wagons, however in the midsize there was. Anyway, I really liked the wagon but walked away once he informed me the sunroof was "filled" in. He says $5,000 will buy it
