    Crap - I did it "AGAIN" :banghead3:

Had to move exhaust over to change flex plate and burnt the airline to the passenger side airbag

Still have an engine leak, rear seal I'm pretty sure but will get it up on the hoist to look as soon as I do a bit of final touch up on the '51 Airstream I'm :cry:selling because "someone" thinks we can only have/use one at a time :49:.

I want to use it, I want to play with it, I want to - well, get the bloody car back on the road. Should have it done for Friday night at the tool shop car show, all things going well.

Geez, this has not been my year for putting miles on the old girl.

I pulled out hte heater box on the 61 ford country sedan, and found a set of original keys that have been there for a long time no wear on them. Had the plastic and paper tag saying 1961 ford country sedan. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I Installed the left rear taillight lense that arrived Saturday.
I pulled the drivers door panel, and attempted to fix the window.
I determined that the wires that plug into the motor are getting power.
Thats a very small hole to work through, and since thunder was booming and raindrops were starting to fall, I fixed the loose chrome trim on the panel, taped plastic on the door to replace the missing weather shield, and put it back together just as the rain started.
Next week I'll pull the panel again and clean the terminals on the window motor- maybe that'll fix it.
Now I need to find an AC compressor, this one locked up yesterday.

Since this is primarly a motivational thread...

I had a surprisingly lengthy automotive geek-out session at a stop light yesterday when the guy in the truck next to me wanted to say how great he thought my car looked. [IMG]

Made me want to skip going back to work and just keep driving.

After having owned and driven the car for a year now... some maintenance was required. Replaced the airfilter and PVC hose as it was breaking down and leaking.
    That was fun!:dancing:

But... the darned belt on the 8-track broke so need to pull that apart and replace it.

But all in all, the car is fun to own and drive!

    But of course!
I actually have an 8-track repair thread here on SW forums and it needs some updates.
Hopefully next week will be not so busy and I can get'er fixed and post the results.

it really isnt hard. it took longer to strip the interior and build up the guts to cut a 2"x4" oval hole in an otherwise spotless floorpan.
if you have all the parts...and your a competent modder or shade tree mechanic, it should take you dunno maybe 3 hours start to finish. it took us longer because we read the directions 6 times and had to drive to 6 different hardware stores to get the joist hanger you need to bolt the rear of the shifter to. (fyi just buy the nice bracket that 200OZ makes...i was on a shoestring so i had to but the $2 "s" bracket at lowes). it really does something to the car... makes it feel a bit more sporty.
