Ok, so... being new to the fuselage style chrysers... and my 72 NY TC wagon. When it comes to parts interchangeability with these cars... what are my options? Are the basic mechanicals interchangeable with Fury's, Imperials, Polaras etc from the same years?? Can I assume interior stuff is pretty much interchangeable or no? What about wagon specific stuff... am I limited when it comes to trim pieces etc.

And lastly... do any of the restoration specialists out there make reproduction parts for this car - or fuselage style C bodys in general?

I'm pretty confident that the mechanicals would be the same, but body, trim and interior will all be unique to the body style.
If you ever go to auto swap meets, look for a Chrysler parts book for your car. It may cover a few years, but the part numbers, and exploded diagrams are great if you're restoring.

The mopar guys will chime in, but I used to own quite a few in the day. The trannies go way back to the late 60's. 383's and 440's and maybe the 360's, were interchangeable, but the clutch packs in the automatics varied with the engines and if a car had taxi, police or trailer packages. Suspension was really different on the Brougham wagons - tough but smooth.

Interiors are out of my field on post-50's big mopars. I knew imperials upside down from 1955 to 1958, but I never tinkered with my Plymouth wagon (1971) or my 1975 T&C Brougham wagon. Never had to. :)

Try googling your car. Like this 72 Chrysler Forums I would imagine there will be some interior parts you can get. Carpet I would try ACC they carry most cars
