Hello all, my name is Zack I live in sunny San Juan Capistrano and just bought myself a new toy. A 1951 Pontiac Chieftan 4 door wagon resto-rod. It is running a 350 cid / turbo 400 trans / currie 9" rear / disc brakes, 3 tons of fun. I have been a compition offroader for years and got tired of the dirt (thus the name Mogman) so I sold my all my junk and bought the hotrod family wagon. I am new to this world and I know nothing about Pontiacs so any help would be great.
Welcome, wagon looks great. How 'bout a few more pictures 'cause I am really diggin' that wagon. Glad you joined us!
Welcome Mogman Zack. I really like your Pontiac. Brings back a few memories of the second car of my dads that I can remember - a '52 (I think) Pontiac 4-door, with the fastback roofline. Of course, this was around '56 to '59 when we had it. You've got the Barrett-Jackson auction coming up at the fairgrounds down there. Any plans to go? (Hey - it starts tomorrow!) Marshall
Welcome to the madness! Is that really a 6000 lb car? Not familiar with a currie rear end, any other info?
to the wagon train, mog. For not knowing anything about Ponchos you sure have a NICE one! Love that wagon. Glad you found us.
I am having FUN, new door rubber goes in this weekend. Other than that the rig is done, just some elbow grease to clean it up. Here is a question: I have a bracket over my spedo bezel with nothing in it, I found a picture online that shows a plate of some sorts kinda looks like a heads up diplay that some new cars have. What am I missing? A few more pics
